DISPUTE RESOLUTION MANAGER (HEAD OFFICE – MIDRAND)
Job Purpose:
The position of a Dispute Resolution Manager is required for the National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector in terms of its establishment Section 29(15)(a) of the Labour Relations Act as amended.
To manage the Dispute Resolution processes of the NBCPSS.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of an appropriate Grade 12 certificate.
- 3 – 4 year undergraduate Qualification in Labour/Industrial Relations Management,
- Labour Law, Human Resources Management, or relevant equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a Labour Relations/ Dispute Resolution Environment.
- At least 2 – 3 years’ Supervisory/Management experience.
- Experience working within a Bargaining Council/CCMA being advantageous.
- In possession of a current valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Overseeing the overall Dispute Resolution processes of the NBCPSS.
- Ensuring the NBCPSS complies with its CCMA Accreditation.
- Developing Standard Operating Procedures for the Dispute Resolution processes of the NBCPSS.
- Managing all Senior and Case Management Officers of the NBCPSS.
- Appointing CCMA Accredited Commissioners to be in the panel of arbitrators of the NBCPSS.
- Appointing Interpreters to conduct interpreting services for the NBCPSS.
- Development and issuing of Service Level Agreements (SLA) for Dispute Resolution Service Providers annually.
- Prepare and submit reports on Dispute Resolution.
- Improving stakeholder relations with CCMA and the Department of Employment and Labour.
- Coordinating the litigation of all post arbitration cases.
- Filing Affidavits at the Labour Court on behalf of the Council.
- Conducting Regional Audits on Dispute Resolution processes.
- Updating Dispute Resolution processes in compliance with internal controls and audit findings.
- Preparing and monitoring the budget for Dispute Resolution.
Knowledge & Expertise
- Extensive knowledge of Labour Law legislation
- CCMA/Dispute Resolution expertise
- Knowledge of Collective Bargaining
- Knowledge of labour law litigation processes
- Knowledge of utilisation of MS Office
