ADVERT: RECEPTIONIST (HEAD OFFICE – MIDRAND)
Job Purpose:
The position of a Receptionist is required for the National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector in terms of its establishment Section 29(15)(a) of the Labour Relations Act as amended.
The receptionist will take on client service and office administrative support functions at the Head Office. Functions include attending to all walk-ins, managing the switchboard, and performing a full spectrum of administrative functions for the Council.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of an appropriate Grade 12 certificate.
- Post Matric Qualification in Office Administration (or relevant equivalent).
- 1 – 2 years relevant working experience in an Administration/ Service/ Labour Relations Environment.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a Bargaining Council environment an added advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answering phones in a professional manner, screening, and routing calls as necessary.
- Attending to queries received telephonically, via email and texts.
- Managing attendance registers
- Announcing clients as necessary.
- Assisting clients in finding their way around the office.
- General administration functions and data capturing.
- Performing ad-hoc administrative duties.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Receiving and directing deliveries.
- Boardroom bookings
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Submitting weekly and monthly reporting.
- Stand in for the Cleaner when not at the office.
- Stakeholder relations in relation to all employer/employee interactions related to contributions, benefit payments, detail updates and enquiries.
Knowledge & Expertise:
- Computer Literate – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent Customer Service and Professionalism
- Switchboard Operation/ Telephone Etiquette
- Administrative & Coordinating expertise
- Knowledge of Labour Legislation and Collective Bargaining
- Knowledge of the Bargaining Council’s Collective Agreements
