The National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector (“NBCPSS”) is excited to announce that the Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) in accordance with the clause 11.14 of the constitution was held on 23 August 2021.
The NBCPSS confirms the appointment of Franz Verhufen as the Chairperson for the year 2021/2022 and Anna Mashigo, as the Deputy Chairperson.
The structure and representation of parties were confirmed after the verification process was conducted. Consolidate Employers Organisation (CEO), and Progressive Allied and Travel Union of South Africa (PATU) are newly admitted parties to the NBCPSS and was awarded one (1) seat each.
A panel of Conciliators and Arbitrators has been appointed by Council as per clause 11.14.3. which will be dealing with compliance and dispute resolution matters.
An Independent Exemption appeal body (as per clause 11.14.5) has been appointed by the NBCPSS to consider appeals against decisions of the Exemption Body.
The Annual Financial statements were presented by the appointed auditors. No findings have been raised against the NBCPSS and were accepted and adopted by Council members.
