The National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector (NBCPSS) reminds all stakeholders of the levy contribution increase effective from 1 March 2026, as previously communicated on a circular dated 11 December 2025. This is the first levy increase implemented in six years, following the establishment of the Council.
The revised levy contributions are as follows:
Category 1: All PSIRA-registered and graded security officers, as well as employees covered by the Main Collective Agreement, will contribute R9.40 per employee.
Category 2: Employees within the scope of the Council who are not PSIRA-registered and not covered by the Main Collective Agreement will contribute R2.50 per employee.
Employers are reminded that levy schedules and payments are due by the 7th of each month and must be uploaded via the Umhlaba Risk Solutions online portal.
