The National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector (“NBCPSS”) has noted, with concern, a notice circulating on various social media platforms which states that strike action will take place on 1 March 2025 with no end date.

The NBCPSS wishes to state categorically that the contents of that message are untrue and have been made with an attempt to cause chaos and uncertainty in the industry.

The NBCPSS confirms that there currently exists a Main Collective Agreement which provides for the terms and conditions of employment in the security services industry that is operative until 2027. There cannot be any strike action on any of the issues as they have been negotiated and concluded on for the full period of the Main Collective Agreement.
